The Grange in Providence is seeking experienced lead line cooks and line cooks for a fast paced vegetable restaurant on the west side. Applicants must be eager to learn, hardworking, reliable, timely, organized and have a positive attitude. An interest in vegetable focused farm-to-table cuisine is essential.

Responsibilities include:

Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies

Cover, label and date all food prep items

Maintain a clean work area

Check and maintain station for cleanliness, quality and quantity of food

Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

Answer, report and follow Chef’s or Sous Chef’s instructions

Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers


Prior culinary experience

Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English

Intermediate to advanced culinary and knife skills

Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

Salary: $11.00 to $14.00 /hour
