Opening this fall in Providence, 110-seat Sarto will be a market driven osteria celebrating Rhode Island’s farmers, purveyors and artisans. Our first General Manager should have experience opening and operating upscale restaurants in competitive and emerging markets.
Our General Manager will be teaming up with a very talented and dynamic culinary leadership. Executive Chef and Partner Robert Andreozzi developed his vision for Sarto from some of the finest restaurants and wineries in the US and Italy. His culinary background includes Blue Hill at Stone Barns (Tarrytown, NY)…Del Posto Ristorante (NYC)…The Modern (NYC)…and Frasca Food & Wine (Boulder, CO). In Friuli, Italy, he worked at Orsone Ristorante at the Bastianich Vineyard. As a native Rhode Islander, Robert graduated from both Roger Williams University and John & Wales.
The General Manager must be equally excited about food, wine, and beverage, and have a successful record of mentoring and curating a positive team culture. It’s critical that candidates have fine-dining leadership experience coupled with knowledge of restaurant trends nationally and locally. Opening and operating upscale restaurants in competitive urban environments is an added plus. Uniquely, the Sarto General Manager will be actively assisting Robert in planning financial results, implementing market initiatives, and creating seasonal promotions. The ideal candidate is a natural leader with strong restaurant business acumen, has prior management experience in a fine-dining environment and must understand both the local and national restaurant scene.
