Food on the Move believes that everyone deserves healthy food. Our year-round mobile markets bring fresh, healthy produce to the people and places that need it most. We make healthy food more accessible by bringing markets to senior housing sites and community locations, and more affordable by doubling the value of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) dollars spent on fruits and vegetables.

Food on the Move typically holds two markets per day, three days per week, in various locations across Rhode Island.

Job Description
RIPHI is seeking a Market Operations Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of the Food on the Move mobile produce market. This includes:
Representing RIPHI and Food on the Move in the community
Supervising and developing Market Team Members
Adhering to Food on the Move’s business protocols
Overseeing produce ordering, invoicing, and sourcing
Setting up and breaking down markets
Overseeing cash deposits
Maintaining vehicle licenses, permits, and maintenance schedules
Providing excellent customer service
Troubleshooting/problem solving issues in the field
Cashiering using Food on the Move’s point of sale system
Conducting in person or phone surveys with shoppers
Being an active participant in RIPHI and Food on the Move team meetings
Driving a van with hitched trailer
Lifting loads up to 50 lbs and pushing/pulling carts up to 100 lbs
Maintaining clear communication with Food Access Manager and Evaluation Manager

This position is full time, with generous paid time off. Health and dental benefits are available. The Operations Coordinator will work on site at markets 3 days per week, with the remaining days the office. Early morning and evening work will be required.
