Southside Community Land Trust 2021 Plant Sale
May 15, 2021 – May 18, 2021
Once again, the Plant Sale will be online and curbside
Having figured out how to navigate a contactless Plant Sale in 2020, we now have a great template and can avoid some of the glitches we experienced last year. While, like you, we miss seeing old friends and wandering the paths at City Farm taking in fabulous plants, we know that the most important thing about the event is being able to provide healthy starts so you can grow your own delicious food next summer.
Shoppers will be able to order online, starting on May 10
SCLT members will be emailed a link to the Plant Sale website that morning, and the site will be open to the public after noon (just as members have enjoyed early access to previous Plant Sales at City Farm). We will again offer about 150 varieties of vegetable, herb and fruit starts.
Curbside pickups will take place over four days instead of seven, from May 15-18, at City Farm
Updated information about this year’s Plant Sale will be sent to those on our mailing list, and posted here and on our social media pages. If you don’t already receive our monthly e-newsletter, you can sign up for it here.In light of the tremendous increase in food insecurity in the past year, SCLT will again donate roughly 3,000 plant starts to individuals and families in need who want to grow their own food. Plant Sale customers will be invited to help us defray this cost by making a donation online along with your purchases.
