Healthy Soils Healthy Seas RI Symposium

We are going to celebrate the two-year anniversary of the Healthy Soils Healthy Seas RI Project with a project update and discussion! 

At the virtual meeting we will provide an update of the current project and share future project goals, including the expansion of composting collections and processing facilities here on the island and across the state. Some topics for discussion will inlcude using compost for: growing healthy food, improving water quality, residential projects for stormwater, eliminating the use of fertilizer, reducing the need of pesticides, and carbon sequestering for tackling ocean acidification and climate change.
