Thinking of going out to eat this week? Please dine out on Thursday, April 28, at a restaurant participating in Dining Out For Life. Participating restaurants donate 25% of your purchases on this day to AIDS Project Rhode Island, for HIV/AIDS care and prevention services.
There are over 40 restaurants taking part in the fundraiser, many of them also donating their lunch sales as well, so if you’re able, dine out more than once on Thursday. I spoke with Tobey Sanborn, Senior General Manager for Hemenway’s—a spot donating 25% of lunch and dinner on Thursday—and the Newport Restaurant Group about their involvement.
“At Hemenway’s and Newport Restaurant Group, we believe in giving back to the community whenever possible. From purchasing locally, to supporting worthy local causes, we are a company that firmly believes in doing the right thing. Donating a portion of our dining proceeds to Dining Out For Life on April 28th to benefit AIDS Project Rhode Island fits that philosophy perfectly. We look forward to helping to raise money this year and to participating in this program annually.”
Please take a look at the list of participating restaurants, call all your family and friends and make lunch & dinner plans for Thursday, April 28.
